Meeting people

I was helping a friend at a local market today and met two very nice people. A mother and daughter that were just out and about. I struck up a conversation with them and exchanged information with the daughter. I enjoyed this meeting very much. The young lady that I gave my email and blog info to is still in school and was very interested in this project. I was shocked by the excitement that she expressed and it made me realize how important that every generation is to Guy Going Green. Her generation is the generation that is going to carry this message on with boldness, and without fear so we can save this amazing world we live in. Thanks Megan for your excitement.

My opening statement

This is without a doubt the most exciting venture of my life. I hope to touch many lives with this project.At first I thought that it was going to be a way to lose weight and promote healthy eating habits, but that is just the tip of the iceberg. Eating healthy is a great part of this but I have discovered that it is about people and their lives, their legacies, their children and the well being of the planet where all of these things do and will exsist.If we can show just a few hundred people in each state the damage that littering,for example, does to our planet. We did not just reach a few hundred people and the story ends there. These people will take this lesson to their children and they will take it to theirs..ect..ect... and with that few hundred people we just reached an endless list of generations. That is just one topic in Guy Going Green. Eating habits, recycleing,compassionate eating,dangerous products on the market,instilling hope in people that think all hope is lost. Let me tell you something, you can go onto vegan websites and find healthy attractive, thin , picture perfect bodies all over the internet, but you will not go onto these sites and find me!!. A 360 pound man with a desire to change his life and his planet!. I am about to venture into a world that is foreign to me but I know in my heart that the outcome is going to be amazing. The outcome is not just going to be amazing for me but for everyone that has there hand in Guy Going Green. You may be a blogger just looking for what I ate today or you may want to be involved personally in this project,either way there is a reward coming for everyone.The most exciting reward of all is the fact that my grandchildren will be affected by this in no small way. Comment all you want , suggest all you want ,but by all means get involved with us on any level! Can you imagine a man or woman like myself sitting home with no hope of losing weight and they see me involved in this and when they really start listening they realize that it isnt about what they look like it is about who they are and how they live on this planet.Guy Going Green is not about getting to a certain weight, it is about tranforming your life by action and wanting to save the wonderful world we live in. If you say that you want to get a recycleing bin for the first time, we applaud you!If you say that you taught your five year old that it is bad to throw trash out the window of your car and why, you just changed history! This is what Guy Going Green is about. Lets learn together and all will reap a reward. Talk to you soon.
